A native of Peribonka, PQ, Goulet played 1089 games over 15 seasons in the NHL, accumulating 548 goals and 604 assists for 1152 points. Coincidentally, he recorded his 500 career goal against the Calgary Flames during the 1992 season. However, his first professional season was with the Birmingham Bulls of the WHA during the 197879 campaign in which he scored 28 goals and 58 points.The sixth pair put on 105 and repaired the damage done by paceman Chris Tremlett four for 45 and former Worcestershire spinner Gareth Batty three for 68 in taking four of the five wickets to fall by lunch. He retired prematurely due to an injury in 1994. His number 16 was retired by the Nordiques in 1995.In addition to his NHL/WHA career, Goulet performed internationally for Canada at the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cup tournaments and the 1993 World Championships.
